Hey fellow Georgia dental wanna-be's, let's start up a list to see who's going to MCG, and also who's on the waitlist (hopefully we'll be able to slowly add the waitlist people to the attending list):

i read MCG and for a second i felt like you are refering to the chemical that panda express (fast food place) adds to its food (orange chicken) for better taste... some researchers also found that it is kinda carciogenic...it is actually MSG!
then i read your thread and realized that MCG is abbreviation for a dental school in Georgia

actually, i've been adding some MCG to my food recently as well. it's a little crunchy, and tastes like old dry wall, but i'm poor and i must eat.

both myself and my twin brother have received invitations to enter the class of '11; im strongly considering mcg over uab and case, as is my twin...we are from georgia and feel like its time to return to the promise land!!!haha...congrats to everyone!!!

talk to dentists and ask them where they'd go. They already know what's really important in choosing a school.

somehow, I don't think Harvard dentists are any more successful than other dentists. MCG can do everything for you and cost you 19k/yr.

Hey everyone! I just discovered SDN, wish I had discovered it months ago! Anyway, I found out I have been wait listed at MCG 😡 Can anyone that got in tell me when you have to have your deposit in for acceptance?

Acceptance dated Dec 1st, have 30 days to make deposit- so I am guessing they will start waitlist acceptances on Jan 1st?

UNC wouldn't end up costing that much more, and apparently it's a phenomenal program. As for Columbia, you're probably right... I'm leaning against it.

Yes, I was on the waitlist since Dec. 6th. The dean, Dr. Carol Hanes, called me yesterday to tell me that my status had changed and that I have been accepted into the class of 2011. I just faxed them my confirmation to be on the waitlist last week. That was really fast. So, they called me 1st, but I should get my letter by this coming tuesday.

Thats great to hear! I'm glad you're in... now, some of the fellas need to decide to go elsewhere so I can get in. 😀
