MCG Interview

I received an interview invite for October 24th/25th to MCG and I know a bunch of people have already interviewed. I was just wondering if someone who has interview this year would let me know what the interview was like and what types of questions I need to be prepared to answer. Also, is it an opened-file or closed-file interview? Thanks for your help in advance.

I got an interview invite too...but mine is after yours...Oct. 30. I hope I can get some information from you when you get done with yours.

The interviews are closed file (except they will have your personal statement). As far as questions go, just be prepared to answer a few of the standard ones, ex why are you interested in dentistry, what would you do if you witnessed someone cheating, etc. The main thing is to understand where you fit in the class composition. Are you a 4.0 with great DAT (not all get in) or are you a "late bloomer". They will expect you to highlight what makes you special. You need to give them some ammo to use for when they have their meetings and the interviewer is lobbying on your behalf. They really do want to be your advocate. One more thing, go for quality over quantity. Again something that makes them remember you. Worked for me.
