Hi everyone, currently trying to make the final decision on which school to attend. Any help or comments would be appreciated 🙂
MCG (Medical College of Georgia):
Pros:
- In-state tuition (Tuition & Fees = $31,000)
- Closer to family (~2.5 hours)
- 1st year is P/F (but not other years)
- Campus and facilities are super nice and got a great vibe from the students
Cons:
- Augusta location (I’ve been in GA my entire life and I’ve been wanting to get out of the state)
- Lower ranked? (residency director rating of 2.6)
MCW (Medical College of Wisconsin):
Pros:
- Realllllllyyyy nice facilities
- Liked the Scholarly Pathways component of the curriculum
- Wauwatosa seems like a pleasant area to live
- Students seemed like they really liked the school
- Residency director rating of 3.3
Cons:
- Higher COA (Tuition & Fees = $54,700)
- Grading is Honors, High Pass, Pass, Low Pass, Fail (not a deal breaker, but worth mentioning)
- No friends or family close by (no support system)
