Anybody know anything about this program? like are they DO friendly? why didn't they fill last year? etc.

I was thinking that since they did not fill last year and I like the southeast/midwest in general it would be a good place for me to do an away. Then I heard a rumor that they only except a maximum of one DO per year. I don't want to waste one of my aways -- there are a lot of other places I am into but I have some family near augusta putting it slightly higher on the list.
Now they have been super difficult to set up an away rotation with. They don't return my phone calls and I can never get a straight answer. I am trying not to be paranoid but I am wondering if they do this for DO candidates?
I really don't want to waste one of my aways!

I would be surprised if they aren't already full for visiting students during the prime rotation months. I think I applied for an away there last year around late May and they were full then.

I already applied a long time ago, I am just waiting to hear if its final. did you end up interviewing there?

I interviewed there a couple of years back, and really enjoyed it. check my old posts, and you'll find a review for MCG. You'd be crazy to discount that place w/o experiencing it firsthand. A few of our SDN'ers have some 1st-hand knowledge bout that place, and I have yet to hear any bad reports.

1. They didn't fill because they declined my app

2. Don't make any inferences on a program based on whether they fill from year to year. Great programs go unfilled. Not-so-great programs fill.

3. I did an away last year at another SE program, who didn't inform me that I was final until 30 days before the rotations. That was their policy.
