Mcomdent or PhD????

Would you guys do a Mcomdent (community dental health specialty) or a research PhD after having done a DDS/BDS?? What do you reckon is a better choice (moneywise, careerwise etc)?

Well, financially speaking both are a stepdown from general dentistry. They both have their advantages but money is not one of them.

If I had to choose between the two I would take the research route but that is just because it fits my personality.
