Hi All,
I just got my acceptance letter for the Manchester campus and sent in my deposit. Now that that's off my mind I can concentrate on life, or lack thereof for a couple months. We'll all be in the same class and getting to know eachother beforehand could be to all of our advantages. I look forward to meeting each of you.

I got it the Thursday after my interview

'sup. I think we are the only two in here.
Cheers.

Yeaaah Boiiii,
I am here too! Mailed my deposit last week. I have a stupid question thouh, I filled up the deosit form and put it along with the check in the envelope they provided, is that what you guys did as well? I didn't put my address on that envelope! The top left corner had the school's address, and the mailing address was the office of admissions address. How would I know that they recieved or not? check my bank balance?!!

Check your balance or just email them. I'm pretty sure they'll be quick about telling you that they haven't received you're 750. Or should I say their 750.

congrats to all of you. Do you all feel confident about this 3 year accelerated program? Somehow I don't if I had to do it. but I have applied and waiting.

yeah, Their 750! I ll email them. I have another question for you guys...if u can help.
I filled up the FAFSA, and it showed that my EFC (estimated family contribution) is 3000!! Does that mean that i am expected to pay 3000 cash out of my pocket for the first year? and will that effect the amount of subsidized loans i probably be getting?? I am going to be paying all my tuition and other bills from loans!! I won't be able to contribute much, my parents won't neither.! I am kinda worried..

I am feeling pretty much good about the 3 year program! I know one thing, study everyday, don't get behind, ask as many questions as u can, get to know the students around you! We all will be in the same boat!
No worries. well, a little bit worries🙂

4 year programs still have 3 years of didactic, they just do most of their 4th year doing rotations. So the didactic is close to the same concentration regardless. At least so I've heard.

Congrats to all,,What about housing? Off-campus or on-campus, which one you all feel is better for a girl.

Wait a minute... Shouldn't you guys be the class of 2013, or is it a 3-year program?

Edit: Nevermind. Thought Worchester had the same time frame as Boston.

Congrats to all,,What about housing? Off-campus or on-campus, which one you all feel is better for a girl.

I take you'll be in Worcester. I cant help as far as the area but I can bring up a few points that you can think about:

1) Do you want to roll out of bed and stumble into class on Monday morning? My sophomore year of undergrad I lived on campus and looked forward to this part instead of having to drive to campus every morning
2) Are you going to want to have a glass of wine with dinner? Of course in the dorms there's no alcohol allowed
3) Do you want any pets?
4) etc etc etc

I would just think about your must haves and weigh your options. Its all relative from one person to the next. I have friends that lived in the dorms all 4 years and some even during their 2 years of grad school. That was all fine for them, but I had to have my privacy. Hope this helps you in making a decision thats right for you!!

I dont think your contribution is 3000. I think that is a code FAFSA uses for their determination. I have something like 18477, and I definitely hope that is not what I have to contribute. You'll most likele be recieving a separate letter what your loans and awards. I'll be going to Worcester, is that where you're headed this fall?
