Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for my upcoming interview at MCPHS? Is it closed or open file? Anything is appreciated!!! Thanks 🙂

I would search this specific forum. There have already been a lot of posts about MCPHS interviews.

Not to be harsh but my tip would be to research Board Scores as it pertains to the new ACOE (80% ultimate pass rate over 6 years)criteria for accreditation.

Can MCPHS maintain accreditation? Look and look again before leaping into an under performing school of Optometry as the new ACOE criteria take effect.

Hey all! I have an upcoming interview at MCPHS, and I applied super late in the cycle .. does this mean they still have seats to fill? Has anyone interviewed at MCPHS w/ an open file interview? I am also interviewing via zoom due to COVID-19, which should be interesting. Any tips would help! My interview is on June 7th. My OAT was 290 and GPA 2.9, so I want to know what my chances are. I have two years of optometric technician work experience. TBH I was surprised I got an interview.

Just curious, how long did it take MCPHS to get back to you and invite you to an interview? I applied late in the cycle as well, and have only gotten an email that they are reviewing my application

It was open file interview. Was pretty much laid back though. So just prepare for general questions why optometry? Why MCPHS? Also there will be ethical question and a writing prompt. Good luck .

Just curious, how long did it take MCPHS to get back to you and invite you to an interview? I applied late in the cycle as well, and have only gotten an email that they are reviewing my application

I submitted my application on May 31st and got asked to schedule for an interview on June 2nd. My application was marked complete and that they were reviewing it on June 1st.
