I'm not sure how many they interview...you can probably find that online somewhere. The curriculum seemed pretty neat, with a lot of cool electives. The students seemed relaxed (but I've heard it's a lot of work).
 
I had my interview today.
The faculty was very nice.
The interview, like everyone says, was like a conversation.
She just asked general questions, nothing to get all stressed about.
The essay topics were not bad either, just very general questions.

Cant really talk much about it because I signed a form but Good Luck to everyone!

Curriculum is cool when u look, frnd of mine is in second yr of program n he told that its really tough. they hv now only 120 students in P-2 because 30 could not make it.

I asked about the drop out rate during the interview and they said it's due to the fact that they have a lot of non-traditional students (like me, yea!) who are older and with families, so a lot of people drop out because a spouse loses a job and they have to work, or they have a baby, or they have to take care of a parent...things that generally happen to older students. It's true some drop out because it's difficult, but there seems to be a HUGE support system for students. Including free massage coupons. I kid you not. 😍

well, out of our first year, 19 people dropped out (for numerous reasons) from the Worcester campus, but 12 people from the year previous stayed back and joined us.. so our class size did not decrease that much...
 
has anyone recved an accceptance letter yet?i'm so nervous.......i had my interview a week ago.....

Me, too! They told me they'd tell me within a month, and even then they looked a bit apprehensive about tell me only a month. I have a feeling it'll take even longer. Hey, it's better than if this weren't rolling admission!:luck:

congrates n i know this is the only college u applied and u r in.

I hope it works for me because i also hv applied only in MCPHS

I consider 19 to be a very low number. That's less than 10%.
Know the failure rate?
 
Anyone know if the sociology class can be substituted with something else? They seem to want a course that is based in society and societal ideals. I have a degree in Anthropology which is practically the same thing. Anyone know off hand if that would count for the requirement?

Unfortunately, I know someone who took Intro to Anthropology and he now has to take Intro to Sociology because it doesn't substitute. Sorry!

Congrats, I know the feeling.
I just had an interview on Monday, so don't stress. (I know its easier said than done) BUT honestly, the interview is not bad at all.

How many days before did you finish your application? Did you finish in october or september?

Congratulations! But, I'm confused.....I thought that they notify you via regular mail?

Hi! Here is my timeline. Keep in mind this all happened early, so your timeline will probably be more drawn out because the office is getting busier and busier.

August 14 - Sent Supp app (Yeah, I know, I was a bit backwards)
August 22 - PharmCAS officially mailed my primary app to MCPHS (It took about 4 weeks for them to mail it after I e-submitted, so I probably e-submitted around August 1st)
October 17 - Received interview invite letter (They started reviewing apps October 1st)
October 29 - Interviewed
November 4 - Received acceptance letter (They told me at the interview that it would take up to a month to hear back)

B.A. in Philosophy and German Studies in '05...about 3.8 GPA
Took 3 years (ugh!) of post-bacc classes in sciences while working full time...about 3.7 GPA

No pharm experience but some hospital volunteer experience.

Man, I've worked hard. I can't wait until I only do one subject all day! Aaahhh :biglove:
 
Pharmcas mailed mine my app off 8/11.
I submitted by supplemental shortly after, I cant remember an exact date.

My application was mailed on 09/14/2008. I mailed my supplemental application a week later.

Thank You.
Sorry for the confusion. I called the admission office to know the status of my application and I was informed on the phone that I have been offered an on campus interview, I received a mail next day confirming the interview.

Damn...its been 2 wks of receiving that email abt application but haven't heard anything abt interview. Did anyone receive an email around 23rd october?

It took a few weeks to get anything after that email. They're swamped in admissions. Try calling...looks like they're pretty responsive over the phone.
 
please advise me what is the supplemental ? Thanks a lot.
PS: i thought MCPHS doesn't have any supplemental.please correct me.

I called today morning and kate told me tht my application is with counselor and he started reviewing it. so just few more days.

I know they are rolling admissions, and my STATs are not that good
Is it too late to turn it in?

Should i just forget it and save the application fee

You know what's weird? I received a letter today saying that I'm on the Wait List. It also says that "you will be contacted by mail if we are able to offer you admission." To me, it seems like they assumed that I had completed the interview process already and that they had decided to put me on the waitlist. I submitted the app at the beginning of August, but haven't gotten an interview invite yet. Strange. 😕

How many credits you have completed ? and whats ur GPA?

Yea, I'll call them after the holiday tomorrow to have everything cleared up. I just thought it was kind of weird. They sent me that letter along with the pre-req worksheet. I know that some schools do put applicants on the alternate list before the interview, but the letter made no mention of an interview in the future and instead said they'll contact me if they were to offer me admission. On the second thought, it would be cool if I get accepted without an interview. :meanie: By the way, congrats to you on your acceptance! :hardy:
