Hi.....I was curious to know.....

Is there a flat rejection from MCPHS or do they put everyone who are not offered admission on the wait list......

I don't know but I just think that "wait list" is a nocer way to say that.........
"you are not getting in......"

what do u all think...........????

i m curious too... I was also put on waitlist long time ago... nyone here who got rejection letter from MCPHS???...

I was wait listed as well. I had my interview back in November and while I was waiting in the admissions office for my interviewer to come get me I started talking to Kate, the admissions secretary. While we were chatting, her phone rang. After she transfered the call to someone else she told me that it was some kid who was really upset because he had just received a rejection letter and didn't understand why he was rejected without even having an interview. Soooo, yes, MCPHS does send rejection letters. But, I suppose it's possible that they automatically wait list everyone who interviews there (if you don't get accepted right away). It might be worth calling and asking exactly how their procedure works. I'm confused too.

From what I had heard last year, they interview a little over 200 people for the class of 150. Last year, I heard that they received about 1000 applications, so yes, of course they send rejection letters. But since not everyone who gets an acceptance letter would decide to attend the school, you can say that you have a very high chance of getting accepted if you got an interview there. So if you had an interview there and were not accepted right away, I think they just put you on the waitlist unless they think that the interviewee is seriouly not qualified.

I just had a quick question for everyone on this thread. Which MCPHS program are referring to? Boston or Worcester?

yeah and when i see mcphs i think boston.....

i'm glad you all clarified

I spoke with Bryan at MCPHS, and he said that last year they put 75 students on the wait list, and from that list they accepted 25 students. So if you are on the wait list you have a 30% chance of getting in.
