Sorry if we're not supposed to post something twice....I just thought I'd get a response from the MD/PhD forum since they likely know a lot about this stuff.....and I'm trying to get a quick response as I want to submit tonight...
If we're interested in pursuing an MS degree or taking a year out for biomedical research and obtaining the MS degree (schools such as VCU, Toledo, Duke, Pitt have this option)...do we check the MD/MS option under graduate options in AMCAS, and not "MD only?" I was thinking no, since you can apply to the program while in med school and write about this interest in secondaries, but I didn't want to close a door on something by not checking it.....Also i wasn't sure if checking this would cause my app to be processed differently than it would be if I were initially entering regular MD program.
I can't believe I've come up with so many questions when I'm about to submit!!
