Hey could you all list some non-mstp programs and tell me how hard it is to get in(supposedly many are easier to get into than mstp and possibly even the medschool at the corresponding university) and what is the funding at that particular school(since unlike mstp, it varies).
i.e. i looked on uvm website and they say they cover full tuition and give out some form of stipend. i guess in terms of funding that is enough info for me(i.e. that school funds adequately, even if it's not 25k/yr). but it doesnt say anything about selectivity for admissions on their website. thanks!

I think AAMC has a really good website summarizing every program and providing links to their individual sites. Try surfing there.

I know Medical College of Georgia has a non-MSTP MD/PhD. They want people outsite of GA for it too, so if you don't live in GA it might be worthwhile....

I don't know that they specifically want non-Georigians (after all, yours truly was accepted!), but they ARE looking to become NIH MSTP sometime in the future. Dr. Fuchs has high ambitions and is starting to turn the program around into a national one. However, other than NIH status, they operate just like a "real" MST program.
