So you finish your 8 years of freaking training (24th grade) Now you match into your residency and you start getting materials and it says John Doe, MD not John Doe, MD.PhD. Should I correct this with everyone or let it go?

If you went to kindergarten, you'd actually have finished 25th grade.

Up to your personal preference. If you are training in an academic med center, I would ask them to put both degrees.
agreed. there is nothing wrong with correcting them on this. have both degrees on your ID. 🙂
