Hey guys,

I am a sophomore at a small liberal arts college. I am wondering how people get into the MD/PHD programs offered at the schools. And does it help you if your mom/dad is a faculty member of that med school?

I am a sophomore at a small liberal arts college. I am wondering how people get into the MD/PHD programs offered at the schools. And does it help you if your mom/dad is a faculty member of that med school?

Most people that get into MD/Ph.D programs usually have very high GPA and MCAT scores. They also tend to have lots of research experience for most part. Get involved in research ASAP, it doesn't matter that it is done at a small liberal arts college. I think it helps you if your parents are the faculty member at the med school.
