Has anyone else had their application status at Maryland changed to 'Received/Waiting Additional Information'? I submitted 10/1, and today they updated my status from 'under review' to 'Received/Waiting Additional Information'.
I received an e-mail from the dean of admissions office today stating:
"An initial review of your AADSAS application indicates that you will not have completed the following requirements for admission by the June 30th deadline:" (they then listed Ochem, GChem, and Biochem). They asked for a response to clarify if I had taken or was going to take these courses, as they apparently do not receive transcripts?? Additionally, they state that most likely I have the coursework completed, but to specify the course number and title so they can tell what they are looking at on the AADSAS site...
Needless to say, I e-mailed them back right away, clarifying that I had taken all required courses except Biochem, which I was already signed up for this spring 2010 - then followed up with a phone call. I was told my e-mail would be passed on to the admissions committe, who would look it over and determine my eligibility...
Has anyone else had this happen and do they handle this relatively quickly? This is one of my top choices and I don't want to be sidelined because some information is lost between AADSAS and the school itself...I've been slaving like a dog for the past 2 years and this totally threw me for a loop because my app is now 'on hold'??
