Hey guys let's get back to the good old days when this boards was for helping out fellow pharmacy and pre-pharmacy students. This MD vs Pharmd stuff is really immature on both sides. We shouldn't let silly posts rattle our minds and get us of off focus. We are soon to be medical professionals (both MD and PharmD). Your GPA will not matter when consutling patients. The best thing for any of us to do is focus on our education and be the best at whatever field we choose. We see today how medicine is gettng so screwed up due to malpractive and other things. I think both sides should just learn their profession and strive to be great at it and bring medicine back to the level where it needs to be. Yes some of us here may be extremely book smart We have those with 3.5 and higher in the PharmD program and I'm pretty sure we have the same in the MD field. However, just because you aced all your college courses doesn't make you a smarter doctor or pharmacist. I'm pretty sure that we have numerous Docs and Pharmacists out there that barely passed their programs who are better than the A students in the field. So the Moral of the story is - lol. Don't leave school feeling cocky because you aced your classes. Our books are straight forward. No teling what you will have to learn in the field hands on. Will we ace that exam.

While I agree with your comments, please no more of these threads. We've already got four or five of these going on and they've all degenerated into the same pointless bickering. For the sake of the civility of the forum, I say we let this particular topic die.

I totally agree with you Brill. Next time someone comes up with those types of threads, just delete it!! You have my permission.

i agree and im not even involved in pharm. i just came to this forum looking for some info for a friend. it sucked to see these MD vs. Pharm threads going on. i thought that sort of stuff only took place in the Pre-allo forums! as a med student at USC, i can tell you that i don't know of a single MD student who looks down on his PharmD counterparts. i cant even fathom it, its so ridiculous. we have different jobs that require separate expertise. work together and get over those initials after your name.
