Just let it die. How about that? Until some arse necro bumps it in a year.

soo all the jobs that you are going to get without a college degree are better and higher paying than $35k?

not everyone is getting a bio degree.. you can certainly start off much higher with a BS in other fields.

All the jobs you can get with 4 years of experience are absolutely better than jobs with a college degree and no experience.

When you're talking a $100k+ investment, *maybe* 40k is a pretty crappy ROI. The masses of college students that are entering college right now aren't going to find jobs when they graduate.

The data doesn't support this. I'm not sure about 1st year out of college income, but the lifetime ROI is still ecxellent. In fact the lifetime ROI for each individual credit is positive, even if you don't actually earn a degree. The Washington Post did a really good 10 part series on college tuition and benefits. This is part III, where they looked at the math of college's return on investment: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...n-high-part-ii-why-college-is-still-worth-it/

I want to see a reaction video for their first $35k/year job interview, made possible by their $75k degree.

Shoulda video taped me when I got that "I'm pleased to offer you a position in my lab" email back in 2010. Checked into my hotel in Cleveland, OH - got settled in, checked my email - SCREAMED, then ran across the street and drank my face off at the House of Blues. Salary was actually $35,000, haha.

@TreadLightly, for the longest time I thought your Avatar was Tobias Funke from Arrested Development. I saw the episode where Hank Schraeder traps Heisenberg in the garage and says I KNOW YOU DID ALL OF THIS. Now I understand your username and recognize that its Bryan Cranston. Dude's a bawss.

About time too. It's all fun and games until someone gets harassed.

I grew up with a slightly different anecdote.

"It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye...then there's a way to keep score"
