I have a friend who's cleans the protein deposits on his soft lenses with meat tenderizer. I've told him how bad of an idea this is, but, after spending some time with my text books, I'm having trouble backing it up. From what I understand, the enzymes are similar between the tenderizer and traditional protein cleaner, but that doesn't make it safe. Help?
