I just did a practice psych passage on Khan Academy, and basically it was talking about pressure being applied to someone initially, and then this pressure continuing to be applied. The question asked which mechanoreceptors are engaged when pressure is first applied and when pressure is first removed.
A. Meissner corpuscles and pascinian corpuscles
B. Merkel corpuscle and ruffini cylinder
C. Merkel receptor and pascinian corpuscles
D. Meisner corpuscles and merkel cells
Idk if Kaplan just didn't do a good job explaining this, but all I remember about Meissner corpuscles was that they respond to light touch and piscinian corpuscles responding to deep pressure and vibration. Khan's explanation of the answer was not the best, so if anyone has a better explanation that would be much appreciated.
