med school and cloth

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I like cloth (not as much as having the ability to do a really thorough h&P, though), but yeah, it's really just super duper.

Among the great varieties, linen is really underrated, but Egyptian cotton really is the king . . . .

Evidently things such as white coats, ties, etc. take up too many germs.... sooo... I'm going with no cloth, nothing, just me... naked... talking to pts. I'm sure it won't be akward at all.

There's no way in hell I'd put on cloth to class. Most people in my class don't, and I'd think it was weird if they did. Laziness nothing. It's called practicality. Given the nature of med school, it'd actually seem to me as though a person who got clothed up every day was extremely insecure. I'm not sure that's the image you're going for, but whatever works for you.

linen is pretty much my favorite thing to wear

Geez people, it's the 21st century, get with the times.
"I just want to say one word to you, just one word: Plastics!"

^^ mayhaps there is a reason its not socially acceptable?

i guess i can't judge i might be prone to wearing powdered wigs if it were socially acceptable

Cloth is too fragile. That's why I switched to beautiful, long-lasting aluminum siding from Sears.

ok so since everyone else is just goofing around, how about the OLED dress shirt / tie / bag combo? You could study anatomy flash cards on your sleeve while urinating.

Invisible cloak could prove very useful in clinical settings IMO

What's funny is half the people in this thread don't recognize the misspelling.

were you at a toga party 2 years ago or something?

I prefer to think that, in a manner of speaking, I have been at a toga party my entire life.

What's funny is that unsung doesn't realize that everybody recognized the misspelling and took the joke and ran with it.
