Do you guys take your exams on laptops/desktops, or do you still use the ol' pen and paper?

We do paper/pencil for the first year, then in the computer labs for the second year

All exams are on computer except for anatomy lab practical exams which are obviously done on paper.

I go for pen - because I'm so confident that I'll get every answer correct the first time that I won't need to erase. 🙄

Of course by the end my test looks like a mess.

some schools give you a tablet (ipad/android) when u get in, and it is used for all exams

how does using computers make the tests easier? 😕

gets you comfortable with the format 😕 apparently it looks just like the usmle, I guess

I think computer exams are harder. Our MCQs can go from A to J. 🙁 Paper/Pencil MCQs go only to E.

The nice thing about computer exams is that you get your grade/score immediately after the exam. That's pretty sweet.

All of our exams our free response. The "multiple choice" is a "circle all that apply" format, so each question is really 5 T/F questions.

That sucks, but at least you'll be well prepared for Step 1 and don't have to worry about super high class test averages.

Everything on the computer except anatomy practicals. We also take exams over the weekend whenever we want.
