Med school, first thing, last thing, and now my dreams too!

So, as I am applying for medical schools, as do all of you, it is always on my mind, but now, for the second consecutive night, It's even in my dreams! Sure, I used to occasionally dream of getting into med schools, but for these past two nights, I'm actually dreaming that I'm in and have missed my classes.

Is anyone else like this too?

Mind you, I have no acceptances yet, so the dream is not based in reality (dreams hardly are, in my opinion).

One night last June, I dreamt (is that a word?) that I got my MCAT scores back... I had to be at work at 530, so I was so tired that I actually believed that I knew my scores... weird I know.

A week later, my scores came back and it was the exact same composite score that I had dreamed about...

I had a similar experience, I kept on dreaming that I got a certain score, and when the magic envelope finally arrived, I received the same score from my dreams. Weird..............

I've dreamt about getting an awesome MCAT score and about getting an acceptance from one of my top choice med schools. It all seemed so real, then I had to wake up and come back to reality.

I often have dreams that mimic what I am doing in life. During high school I played a ton of video games and I would have video game dreams, like I am a character in the video game.

So to not derail the thread, I do have some medical school dreams when I am concentrating (having anxiety attacks) about medical school too much. Usually my dreams are of me and my family celebrating me getting into medical school and often we are celebrating at outback steakhouse lol.

Man let me tell you, I've had some crazy dreams ever since this journey began. They usually come in 3 different varieties: 1) The "eternal prep for surgery" type (these are my favorite, I end up preparing for surgery the whole dream and right at the instant I'm ready to operate, I wake up) 2) The "fail my first med school exam" type (this type of dream is always panoramic/3rd person where I see myself studying my @$$ off and then all of a sudden it's test day, next scene comes in and I'm walking with my head down away from the testing center... I never find out what my score was though 🙁 ) And type 3) The all too famous "OMG I'm buck-naked" dream (Used to have these all the time back in high school where I'm sitting in class and all of a sudden, I look down and viola!!! No clothes!!!!!... but now I have them with a medical twist: I find myself on rounds or seeing pateints to explain a diagnosis. I notice that I'm getting weird looks from the residents and other docs and then BAM... I look down and I notice that I decided on my B-day suit that day, how freakin embarassing 😳 ) Well yeah, that's a taste of what my night life is like when I go to catch some shut eye. yeah, I had a dream about being at my top choice, asking the admissions office a question, and while I was there, I saw a couple people there interviewing who had already interviewed when I was there 😕 😛
