I was wondering how do Canadian med schools look at GPA is it over the four years in university or is it specific to science classes if you took any as well. And what if you graduate a hear later than the original time to finish credits in university does that have an affect on your chances to get accepted into med school.

Depends on the school. Most look at the last 3 years, some less. Some put more emphasis on the science courses. You basically have to look at each school's admitting criteria separately. Ontario school admissions are done in one place, facilitating the process: http://www.ouac.on.ca/omsas/
