Hello,

I submitted my primaries 7/12/10, was verified 8/5/10, already submitted 6 secondaries, and am working on 8 more secondaries (I expect to turn these in within a week or two). I have pretty solid numbers and am well-rounded, so I am confident that I will get some interviews.

Based on the pace I am working, how soon do you think I'll get interviews? I would really appreciate input from people who have already gone through the application process or know a great deal about the interviewing timeline.

I ask this question because I am planning out my course work for next year and don't want to overload myself during the time I'll be interviewing.

Thank you for your help!

Interview offers from schools may start any day now for those who were complete (primary, secondary and letters) in July. People who get these offers will probably be interviewing as early as September. Those who interview early in September may get the envied 10/15 acceptance which will allow them to start picking and choosing the rest of their interviews.

You're a little later - just now turning in secondaries. You may get some offers later this month for late September/october interviews. You may get your first acceptances in Nov/Dec.

The problem is interviews continue all the way into April and there is no way to guarantee you won't get an interview in April. Many people are placed on hold even though they applied early and only offered interviews later in the season.

So basically you may be busy with interviews from late September-late April. No way to tell how many early or how many late - it will just depend on your application, who happens to read it, and a particular schools' timeline.

Wow, thanks! That really helps.

Good thing I am nearly finished with my major and am taking "fun" classes.

your timeline is similar to what mine was. interview offers late august/sept/oct, and i interviewed in october/november/early december. might have had one in january.
