Ever heard of med schools requiring a physical? Not that it's a big deal ... just curious.

Yes - my school wanted a full physical. Without it, we're not allowed to do any work with patients.

University of Iowa's Carver College of Medicine has a physical. This is from their secondary.

Physical Examination: Accepted applicants must submit a satisfactory physical examination report and proof of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella no earlier than six months and no later than one month prior to the beginning of classes. In addition, the usual regimen of three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine must be completed by the second semester of the first year. Medical history and physical examination forms will be provided by the College of Medicine.

I think they just want to make sure you have all your limbs and stuff.

I wonder how healthy they want you to be. Have you heard of anyone being thrown out for being physically ill (non-infectious)?

BU requires a physical, among other things...
