Hey all. Because I wasn't able to finish all of my med school prereqs during undergrad, I have had to take 4 of my prereqs during grad school. Does anyone know if this will figure into my undergraduate or graduate GPA? Anyone had this situation? (should probably post this on the nontrad board)
thanks!

If you're taking the courses as a degree-seeking student, it should count toward graduate GPA

For the TMDSAS application, anything that's "senior" level or below goes toward undergrad GPA, even if you're taking it as part of a master's program.

I think they will probably count for undergrad. If they are pre-reqs, they're probably lower level courses with low numbering. So, even though you're in grad school, the classes are at an undergraduate level.

This is just my guess though from my experience with the AMCAS app. They don't seem to differentiate between when you're in grad school vs. undergrad. It's more the level of the classes.

They have you list your classification for each course, don't they?

They would be counted towards your undergraduate GPA as poct-bacc credits.
The AMCAS answer:
"You would need to obtain the transcripts from the institutuions where you took the undergraduate coursework during your Master's program. On your application, list the courses as they appear on the transcript. They would be classified as post-bacc courses simply because you have received your bachelor's degree before taking these courses."

Where'd you find this at?

Page 50 of the AMCAS instructions says "Assign PB to any course.. while enrolled in a graduate degree program, if course work is not applied to a graduate degree"

Awesome thanks for the help. Yes they were all 300 level and lower, so not requirements for my Masters. 2 semesters of Inorganic, Organic 2 and Physics 2 have all been taken in the last 2 years.
