I really enjoy helping the community and I want to be a doctor for underprivileged areas. My friends and I started a non-profit to actually help the community grow, and I want to continue that in med school. Are there any schools with great hands-on work in the community? I think every school has a student run clinic to reach out, but is there anything better?

Thanks.

University of Washington is highly focused on rural health and a community approach to medicine.

A lot of schools also recommend/require a clerkship between your M1 and M2 where you could do something like that.
