Hello
Im med 1 and I just want to know , boards and beyond videos is enough for exam? about the curriculum, exams are NBME. should I use more resources rather than B&B for med 1. This semester we have foundation, MSK, GI, Neuro. thanks

Are you also a Wayne State student? We seem to have the same curriculum. I also want some advice on what resources to use to prepare for the NBME block exams so I'll be watching this thread.

My school has professor written exams and NBME finals. I study class material, Robbins basic, and Costanzo throughout the classes. Boards and beyond seems like it could be ok instead of textbooks. Before finals I review my old flashcards and do practice step 1 questions and go through the explanations. Practice questions really do teach you more than watching videos or reading through notes. You should see if your school has any free question banks (you can get ours through the schools library site). My professors get to choose which recycled nbme questions to use btw. I usually score 1 SD above the class mean but the people I know at the very top of the class work a lot harder than I do. See how you do on the first final then dial back or work harder depending on what you're satisfied with.

I also know a lot of peers read through the corresponding section of first aid right before the final.
