Has anyone ever used MedEdits for your personal statement and it is good? Also, do you know if it's helpful to get the medical school admission book I've seen other people post on the SDN site that's only sold online and has a guarantee about if you don't get into med school after buying the book, they'll give you a refund greater than the price you bought the book? (I can't seem to find the title of the book or the link to the website anymore.)

Sounds too good to be true, huh?
Then, it probably is 😉

I know a friend who used MedEdits and she said they worked really hard on her personal statement and the end product was vastly improved from the initial work. Apparntly they made significant suggestions for improvement and didn't just edit. I am considering using them. 🙂

The person who aparently made an account to bump a week thread with thinly-vieled support of a paid-service aside.

You can get plenty of people to review and help you improve your personal statemtent on SDN for absolutely free. Many have already been through the process and been accepted to med school.

Edit: sorry, 2 week old thread.

Thanks for your advice you guys. I might just ask people I know to read my personal statement and I might consider using EssayEdge since many more people have used it. 🙂
