Hi! Has anyone used Kaplan's new medEssentials review system? I just got a brochure in the mail about it. Their website lets you download a sample chapter. That looks pretty good, but I was wondering about the online exercises. It costs $99 for six months, which seems pretty expensive. I want to make sure it's good before I buy it.

I got it. I like it better than 1st aid. I am, however, going to use both med essentials and first aid for studying for step I.

What exactly does the $99 get you?

And is the book they talk about online only or do they actually mail you a copy of it?

They mail it to you and you get the online stuff. I agree that the price is a little steep.

I think its a good idea to have 1 book that summarizes all the basic sciences. Even though I have never used it, a lot of people give it thumbs up 👍👍👍 for its systematic approach, in a way that no other review book /// yet done. But, their pathology is too brief!

When I was studying for Step 1, I found MedEssentials to be a bunch of figures/tables that summarize the Step 1 kaplan notes.
