Has anyone had experience with taking the additional $$$ via the MedEx loan? I will be relocating my family across the country and with the disruption of the move to my wife's income, the move itself, interview travel costs, etc., Uncle Sam's loan money isn't going to make it I don't think. I have looked into it but am not the wisest financial person in the world and was wondering if people found this to be a good option or not.

Thanks for your feedback 🙂

I used Access Group, accessgroup.com, they do no cost resident loans, the rates are competitive but all of them are high! Over 7% I believe. Getting the money is real real easy. Good luck!

I used www.key.com/grad -- they let you take out $15,000. I also know of people using THE (www.northstar.org) -- they let you take out $10,000. Both have online apps and are easy to use.

I heard from a resident that you can basically go to all these guys and get money. She said she took out 4 of them. Now I only did 1 of them accessgroup.. online app, easy to use quick approval, max is 12 or 13K I didnt do the max so I am not sure.

Check with your residency programs as well. Some will loan you small amounts ($1000 or so). Some will reimburse your moving expenses. I got extra money from Key bank, my loans were already from them. No problems at all so far.
