Hey all, probably been asked before, but wanted to get some clarification. Hospital employee, so don’t have a ton of knowledge in this. But when doing cervical or lumbar medial branch blocks and RFA, how many levels are we billing for. Example, if I do a four level medial branch block to denervation the bottom three lumbar facet joints, do I bill for a four level medial branch block or for 3? IE CPT 64493

I just came here to double check my practice, yes, it is number of joints denervated... I was just sitting in on a Boston Sci webinar and they instructed billing per burn... smh.
