I've been reading MR cspines and there are axial T1, T2 and Medic axials. What does the Medic sequence do..couldn't figure it out on Dr. Google.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused.
The article explains that it's good for patellar cartilage abnormalities. Is it supposed to identify the disc better than the T2 then?
