Medical License for 4+MD option programs

How does medical licensing work for 4-year OMFS programs that offer an MD option after training?

Is it different by program/medical school, or do I have to go through at least 1 more year of general surgery after medical school to obtain a medical license?

Yeah you have to do at least 1 year of Gen. Surg. So it’s essentially a 7 year path to get the MD
