Has anyone had any experience with Medical Mavin as either a buyer, seller or just inquiring directly with the company? Thanks for your replies.

I tried to inquire about a listing one time. He would not tell me what county the listing was in. I needed to fill out like a 20 page NDA with a ton of information. I just gave up.

I'm not sure why people want to list something with someone who makes potential buyers jump through so many hoops.

This sounds like a big no-go

I had the same experience but I actually went to the end only to find out it was an old crappy outdated office and the financials didn’t make any sense at all. Like it was for sale for more than 300k and it looked like the office was collecting about 120k/year before paying any bills.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. You’ll see them “selling” the same practice for 8 years. My colleague reached out to them for a reference. The guy gave him references from practices sold YEARS ago.

I have no direct knowledge, but have heard to avoid as both seller and buyer.

There was a time when there were essentially no organizational jobs and it was even harder to get an associate job (pre/very early internet). It also used to be more difficult to get on insurance plans. So in the past there was some benefit to taking over an established practice, even if it was an overpriced chiropody office. Even with our poor job market there are usually better options these days.

What other options are out there if you’re looking to buy or sell a Podiatry practice?

You can potentially use another broker that does other specialties also. No one to recommend.

Many just list themselves or sell to an associate. There are a couple well known podiatrists that are consultants for valuing a practice can aid in a sale. I forget their names, hopefully others remember.

You have to decide if you want someone to mainly market and sell a practice or just someone who can try to value it fair to both buyer and seller and aid some in process with their knowledge.
