We all know Rush has some ongoing drug issues with oxycontin and such but this is a different situation. According to Rush's lawyer, he received some viagra from his doctor's office to spare him the embarrasement of having it filled at a pharmacy. How do y'all feel about that?

On one side, he is basically saying he can't trust his pharmacist with his healthcare. However, I sort of feel maybe it's not the pharmacist he doesn't trust rather it's the supporting cast of the pharmacist. I've dealt with some high profile people in the past at my pharmacy and they have expressed that issue with me. So where does everybody stand on this? Was Rush correct in doing this to protect his privacy?

Love or hate Limbaugh, please keep the political idealogy to yourselves. The question isn't about Rush and how the government is or isn't after him.

Well Caverject...do you think stars/politicians should be treated any differently than the regular Mr. ED?

If your answer is no, then no...he shouldn't be able to take any sidesteps around the law.

But then again...the regular joe shmo wouldn't be on the cover of CNN every time they maded a mistake.

p.s. I love the irony in your question "Caverject"

This, to me, doesn't seem to be a Rush Limbaugh problem so much as a Dr problem. I've often carried the prescritions in my purse because they don't fit in my husband's pockets & they may have been for him, me or our kids.

So....if a Dr was ok with writing an rx for a colleague & giving it to Rush (or his wife, or neighbor or whomever) to get filled - it is then a valid & legal rx. Now if said Dr wanted to give the filled rx to Rush - ("oh...I know its embarrassing, but you take my stash - I don't mind...") then that is ok too. It may not be the best ethical medical decision that Dr could make, but it doesn't involve me as a pharmacist. I can't quite figure out why the Dr just didn't give samples - they get them by the bucketful! No one would have blinked an eye.

I'm thinking Rush has some really good stuff on these Drs to influence them to compromise their ethics as far as they have........

Yeah I was sort of wondering why he didn't just give him samples too.
