would anyone who has gone through the interview process or who has any insight share any informaiton on what sorts of medical ?s may be asked during the interview.
anything would be appreciated🙂

how about perhaps cases that you guys chose to present? IM, Neuro?

in general, just wondering, little nervous i guess...

At least for surgery, you weren't generally asked medical information/pimped, although I did get asked the content of Ringer's Lactate at one program.

Interviews aren't about assessing your medical knowledge.

I was not asked any medical questions at any interviews. I was asked medical questions at one of the medicine fellowship interviews I went to - it was one of the weaker fellowship programs I applied to, and I figured they were asking us because they'd perhaps had problems in the past with fellows not knowing things they should know. For IM it's not a competitive field, so I would expect not to be pimped, though you may be asked about your research, and probably will be, if you did any.

You should have an interesting case ready to present just in case but I got asked about it once or twice over 20-ish interviews and never got asked any medical knowledge questions.
