Ugh. I am mostly a lurker, but I find this whole thing lame. That school, its dean and whoever else were in on the decision process should have started a reinterview process, sent a warning instead of a letter rescinding his admission. The school's actions do not reek of class imho.![]()

I actually know of someone who would have gotten a scholarship offer to a certain medical school but didn't because he posted that he was for sure going somewhere else and his e-mail on SDN was the same as what was on his application. Don't ask me how I know this inside information.

I'm pretty sure everyone on here and their mom knows about the event you're bringing up. Let's not start another thread about schools checking your Internet tracks........

I just checked with my mom and she doesn't know about it either. Sorry I don't troll the pre-osteo forums in my spare time, and besides the thread linked to appears to have the story removed.
Ah, im just being nosy 😛.
Anyway, I don't understand how someone could be so bold (or stupid) as to post something nasty under an SDN name similar to their own. A few users know my real identity, and I am constantly aware of this when I post here. Got to have respect for the profession, even if we are still just aspiring doctors.

This was like a perfect storm of stupid **** that was basically asking for a problem. This thread title should come with the caveat that this user was incredibly dumb when it came to protecting his online persona from his offline life.
Not to add insult to injury but over the thanks giving break he was on the facebook group for ACOM 2017 but not today. He's been removed from the member list of the group he founded himself it went down from 42 to 41.

the cover photo being concept architectural art certainly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in this school..
i wish the mods left the original threads open. it's a good thing to have a record of.
Either way a legend has been born

He's the user SDN deserves, but not the one we need right now.
I have gone to great lengths to ensure my anonymity on SDN. I refuse to post my stats or any other activities. I even refuse to even post in any of the specific threads of the schools I'm applying to. I don't post anything "explicit" here, but I do have some fairly strong opinions that I express on issues in healthcare.
My question is: would it be possible for adcoms to figure out my identity through IP tracing? I'm kinda worried.
All SDN staff members sign a Non-Disclosure agreement and your information, including IP address, is protected information. In the unlikely even that SDN should receive a subpoena, that information may be requested and provided.
