I am having a sort of brain freeze right now and was wondering what schools in Illinois have a tendency to take Il. residents over out of state applicants? I am going to take care of future responses right now as well.

Random Dude I: Look it up in the MSAR
Me (Honsano): I hate you and I don't have one.
Random Dude II: Look it up in XXXXXX
Me (Honsano): Just give me the freaking answer, hate you as well.

THanks

SIU only takes IL residents, and UIC takes predominantly IL residents. I think for the most part that all of the schools here look at IL residents first simply because they should be trying to get people who are likely to stay in the area...

The schools in Illinois that take a lot of out of state applicants include Finch, Rush, Loyola, CCOM, Pritzker, and Northwestern.

Cool, I appreciate it yall.

Uber Gracias

Rush is committed to accepting 80% in-state and Loyola takes 50% in-state...the others are an applicant free-for-all

UIC ~ 90% IL residents
SIU ~ 100% IL Residents (Preference to Central Illinois Students)
Rush ~ 80% IL residents
Finch~ No preference to IL residents (However, there are still considerably higher number of IL residents simply because more kids from IL apply there)
Northwestern ~ Same as Finch. (However, it is a high profile school. Undergraduates from prestigious undergrad institutions have a higher chance).
U of Chicago ~ 40% IL residents. (Another good school in Illinois like Northwestern. However, students are down to earth and polite. My Favorite 🙂)
Loyola (50% IL Residents)

PM me if you need more info about them. I will be glad to give out my opinions (which have their biases)

you forgot to add this response.

go to aamc's website and find all schools under IL.

You'll pretty much have an advantage at any of the Illinois schools if you are a resident so you should apply to all of them, unless you really dislike a school or its location.
