Hi guys.. first time poster on SDN here. I wanted to ask anyone who has gone through a med school with multiple campuses what his or her thoughts are on the benefits/drawbacks to schooling in a smaller setting or in a relatively larger setting, both within the same program. Is one better than the other? Does it depend on the student? Are students at small campuses pidgeon-holing themselves into staying in that city forever? Are students at large campuses missing out on pimping/seeing things/making connections because of the slew of fellows/residents/other students?

Thoughts?

I have friends in a school with multiple campuses. One issue you will run into is housing. When your school is 30+ miles from most of your sites, you get to pick up and move in the middle of studying for boards so you can be ready for third year. You also get to go through an entirely new set of orientations, rules, unspoken rules, etc. every 6-8 weeks. If you're adaptable, great. If not...
