I am looking to expand my ability to speak and understand Spanish, and since being lucky enough to have earned an acceptance into medical school, I would also like to tailor it to medicine. Just thought I’d reach out to see if anyone had any resources! I’ve been considering Duolingo/Rosetta/Rocket Spanish. Thank you!!

If you already have a fairly good Spanish level, taking a Spanish medical interpreting class wouldn't be a bad idea either.

By the way, congratulations on that acceptance!

Thank you! My Spanish profiency used to be much higher, so before taking an interpreting class I would love to brush up on my conversational skills

Duolingo is great for vocab and some grammar. I like memrise too for the vocabulary. If you want to learn medical spanish, there’s some good flashcard sets on quizlet. Italki is really good if you want converational Spanish tutoring, and it’s pretty cheap too.

Thank you for the advice!! I will definitely be utilizing quizlet and will look into Italki as well and see if it all be in the budget with the rest of my costs. If you had to choose Duolingo or Memrise for vocab which would you choose if you don’t mind me asking?

I really like Memrise because it uses a lot of different methods to help you learn vocabulary. They have a lot of different courses too if you go on their online website, including Medical Spanish. I'm currently using this set: First 5000 Words of Spanish
