Need an expert suggestion and/or someone who actually got audited.

Can pharmacists make changes to any item on a part B covered rx's..e.g. dx code directions etc. My colleagues have mixed "opinions". Please enlighten me

I'll just throw my expert (I passed the MPJE) opinion in before lord999 weighs in:

Every place I've ever worked forced the nurse to refax until it had everything we needed.

Yeah, admittedly my memory is getting a little hazy but I seem to recall that CVS was adamant that everything had to be on the script and we couldn't "clarify" anything. Trying to get a prescriber to actually provide a script with all the elements felt like pulling teeth. We even had stock forms that all they had to do was fill in the blanks but even that was simply too much work most of the time.

No changes. The order needs to arrive with a specific quantity, frequency, number of refills and diagnosis code.
