Hi all,
I just feel alittle bit confused as I gotta choose a text book for Internal medicine and a nother one for surgery and I have more than one choice for each.
So I just wanted you to advise me and to relief me if you can.

** MEDICINE ::
1. Kumar and Clark Clinical Medicine (6th ed)

2. Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine (20th ed)

3. Pocket Essentials of Clinical Medicin (4th ed)

4.Macleod's Clinical Examination (7th ed)

5.Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine (7th ed)

**Surgery::

1. General Surgery (Lecture Notes) (11th ed)

Principles and Practice of Surgery (forsythe) (5th ed)

2.

3. Bailey and Love's Short Practice of Surgery 25th Edition

. NMS Surgery (National Medical) (5th ed)

Browse's Introduction to the Symptoms and Signs of Surgical Disease (4th ed)

btw there are 3 books am gonna buy anyway :

* Macleod's Clinical Examination (7th ed
* Browse's Introduction to the Symptoms and Signs of Surgical Disease (4th ed)
* Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine (7th ed)

but just want you to help me in choosing between :

Kumar and Clark Clinical Medicine(6th ed)
&
Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine (20th ed)

and between :

Principles and Practice of Surgery (forsythe) (5th ed
&
Bailey and Love's Short Practice of Surgery 25th Edition

and if the :

General Surgery (Lecture Notes) (11th ed)

is useful or not ?!!!

I have most of those books!

People vary quite a lot on the kind of book they go for so it's hard to advise. Most of our surgeons recommend Lecture notes or Browse.

I think Davidson's is a nicer read than Kumar and Clark.

Every UK clinical student has the Oxford handbook of clinical medicine, the vast majority has Macleod's too so they are obviously good for our curriculum but I don't know about yours.
