Currently in OMFS residency. 4 year program without a medical school experience. Have done my 3 months of medicine rotation where I have learned a fair bit. However, still curious if anyone happens to have any resources they've found that are a good read for general medical knowledge?

Deranged physiology is great for ICU stuff. Amboss app is a good quick reference.

Medbullets is a great *free (for the most part) app for easy, on-the-go, browsing of pathologies and up to date txt modalities.

I feel there is a difference in theoretical medicine vs practical medicine. We have a residency manual of our own but we also pass down the internal medicine handbook, which is packed with actionable information and management of most clinical scenarios beyond our scope in the acute setting.
