  1. Pre-Pharmacy
I am freaking out on if I should apply this cycle or wait a year on applying to Pharmacy school and need some help.

I graduated from undergrad this semester with a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology.

My overall GPA was a 3.22 but my I got majority As and Bs in all my pharmacy pre-reqs with about 2 Cs. Does PharmCas take this in account or do they calculate the science GPA as all of my science courses? I'm still waiting on my transcripts to be entered on Pharmcas...

I took the PCAT in October and scored a 68 composite...
94 in Chemistry
75 in Biology
35 in QR
34 in CR

I am retaking the PCAT in January but I'm feeling a bit down this time about taking it over again.

I will be applying to 2 schools that do not require the PCAT (South and FAMU) and once my scores come in from Jan PCAT, I will apply to 2 other pharmacy schools.

Also, I have been working in a retail pharmacy at Kmart for 6 months now and I will be getting 3 LOR (2 from pharmacists, 1 from my microbio professor).
I did not participate in a lot of organizations in undergrad, however. I was in a pharmacy organization on campus and Habitat for Humanity where we did a few community service projects.

What do you think are my chances?

what are the two C classes ? if those arescience classes, then they will put those into the sci GPA.
But you wont take those again right? then forget it.
you can improve your PCAT score.
for example, it you work hard to improve your QR section, just like from 35 to 75 or higher, your composite will be around 75 or something or even higher, I guess.

Did you re take some classes? Then, your cgpa will be lower than your college transcript gpa.

I also hope you try to go to other pharm schools that require for PCAT score...

I also think you will be good enough if you can get over 75 composite. over 80 will be great so you would get all interview offers you applied.

i had 84 pcat 96 chem and qr, 85 bio.
3.28 gpa.
some volunteer activies and jobs.
and good letters...

i got all interview offers from all public schools. ex) wisconsin, minnesota, maryland, iowa, colorado.

aim to high PCAT.

The two Cs are Organic Chemistry 1 and Anatomy and Physiology 1. I won't be retaking any class and no, I have never retaken any classes.
Because I was a science major, I have taken a lot of science classes that I got As in would that bring up my science GPA? I'm still confused how they calculate the GPA. I'm still putting my courses in on PharmCas.

Yes, that is why I'm retaking it. To score higher on those two sections. I just hope that I don't sacrifice my science scores this time around.

So you don't think I will get into any of the pharm schools without the PCAT requirement?

I dont know how you made that conclusion.
I just wanted to say that with 80+pcat will put you in a good position and various option you can choose.
If you just want to get into any pharm school with low rank, it wont be hard like South pharm school.
