Hi, I have a female rottweiler and i'll be starting medical school this comming fall. I think my schedule will be 8-5 pretty much m-thur but i'm not sure if my dog will be okay alone for that long. Also does anyone know if keeping a pet durring rotations or residency is possible. Looking for some advice, thanks everyone!

I was having the same conundrum but with a golden retriever. I ended up deciding to leave her with my parents and possibly get a cat instead which is hard for me but think a compromise I'll have to deal with.
