This machine is very nice. I think they will have no problem getting traction. Needles as cheap as neurotherm.

Not sure but with the SOS differential it is a lot more than Russo gets in his office for RF of chicken breast. What kind of reimbursement are you getting to RF a Chicken Breast?

they are doing a demo for me in a chicken breast next week also. have you tried the cooled RF add-on? i'm curious about that too. they also approached me with decent purchase options... seriously thinking about it
I like the machine and I like the cooled RF add on. I've also tested their new machine and cooled RF add on and I"m sold. I plan to offer cooled RFA of the knee, hip, shoulder, and SIJ. All four will be insurance blocks but cash RF procedures, but people have disposable income here in LA, and it's nice to be able to offer these treatments.
Waiting to hear back on pricing in a week or so from my medtronic reps.
are you RFing suprascap for shoulder? if so not worried about supraspinatus weakness?
Do you have link/article I can look at?New technique. You target the SS immediately before the joint. Only sensory fibers left at that point.

Couple of questions -
Regarding the needles - how do they compare (not cost) to neurotherm? The neurotherm are tapered and slide like butter, but our Bayless/kimberly clark/whoever-owns them now - needles have a slight ridge so I hate using them. The other advantage of neurotherm is every probe fits every needle. The other machine - you need a curved probe for a curved needle, straight probe for a straight needle - or an 18gauge probe for an 18 gauge needle, etc. It's infuriating.
The machine - I do a lot of pulsed and would like the machine to be able to hold voltage and temperature constant while doing pulsed. One of the great things about neurotherm is they have a "dosed" mode for pulsed.
Side question: what are you all pulsing and how are you billing? Is it just as a peripheral nerve block and you lose money on supplies?
I'm at an academic center. My understanding is we bill pulsed RF just as peripheral nerve block so yes lose money on the supplies.Side question: what are you all pulsing and how are you billing? Is it just as a peripheral nerve block and you lose money on supplies?

I'm told there was a place where they would do a pulsed RF as a freebie right before a second or two stretch at 60 degrees C to call it a full thermal RF...but I'm not sure if that really happens anywhere
