Hey!

I heard that hospitals do things for interns to help them get comfortable. Things like luncheons, and ice breakers, right?

I'll likely be doing residency in a city where I do not know a single person, and was wondering what were some things that hospitals did to ameliorate these kinds of situations, if they do anything.

I'll likely be doing residency in a city where I do not know a single person, and was wondering what were some things that hospitals did to ameliorate these kinds of situations, if they do anything.

We have a welcome picnic for all of the interns hospital-wide, and then my program also has its own events. If you haven't gotten info on the socials from your program yet, just contact your PC and ask. I would imagine that most hospitals/programs have these events.
