I have sort of a funny question...

I saw a professor give Grand Rounds at the hospital where I work last summer, and ended up emailing him to talk about the presentation, etc. We had a nice rapport and I am EXTREMELY interested in his research. When it came time for applications, however, he said he wasn't taking any students this year but strongly encouraged me to apply to work with other members of the faculty. Fast forward 5 months, I now have an interview at that school. Would it be in horribly poor taste to email the original professor and ask if he's going to be at my interview, or if we could meet up sometime while I'm at the school, or would that look disrespectful to the other POI who invited me...? Thoughts?

imho, no. while you are applying to work under your specific professor schools want grad students for research. if you fit in with your mentor as well as a second professor to further some research and such i dont expect that would/could be seen as a bad thing.
