I just went on an interview at Meharry and fell in love!! However, my mom really doesn't want me to go there. Does anyone have any insight into Meharry's stats, placement, etc. Even better if you are a student there!

Thanks so much 🙂

im a 4th year student at meharry...may i ask what made you fall in love with the school?

please dont be mistaken-- meharry is known across the dental community for producing very competent dentists

They were very much a close-knit group of people. I really enjoyed meeting each of the professors I interviewed with (there were two). Everyone really wanted to help me out and I dont think this was just for show. They truly care about each other and help each other get through their studies and other personal issues. The professors also really care about the students and try to get to know them. All of them try their best to learn the names of all the students and they often go out for drinks, dinner, etc. (on the prof's tab!) It's easy to get involved and you wont just become another student!

Plus, I currently go to school at Vanderbilt (in Nashville) so I know alot of people here and it's convenient to me.

But am I wrong??? How has your experience been at Meharry?

Please do a lot more talking to Meharrians before you accept a seat there. I didn't go there, so the knowledge I have is second hand and I don't want to cavalierly repeat it.

So if I don't get drunk and/or sleep with the professor, then am I screwed gradewise? It doesn't sound professional nor ethical to have students going out drinking with the professors
