Meme WWar GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Wildcat, why did you jump all over Swings about her voting RNG so early?

I voted 10 minutes after Swings, so I was early, too.

And you voted for Swings 6 minutes after me.

:eyebrow:

I'd rather people vote early and we can all discuss, than continue with our pattern of last minute bandwagon lynches like in past games.

just noticed this is the 2nd consecutive time I was killed very early in a game right after modding. (other one was Iditarod).

Either I should stop modding or stop playing I guess.

Let me get caught up, then I will post my thoughts. I guess I'll miss this lynch, but so be it. Gots ta pay da bills.

What do you mean you'll miss the lynch? 😕 There is still 2 hours left.

Ok. What jumps out at me from SOV's death is the meme "go home X, you're drunk." Combined with maybe a virus.

Maybe the wolves are memes with malicious code (i.e. viruses) attached. So perhaps that's one of the wolf memes.

Thoughts?

It wasn't just about the early. Generally if people are going to RNG that quickly, they something about "unless better info comes out" or "since we don't have anything to go on and I have to go do x, y, z". It just struck me as a little odd. So yeah, I could have sat on my suspicion while everyone else voted, but why not point it out and commit to it with a vote? Though now that she's come back to explain I'm inclined to maybe change my vote.

This.

Oh. I thought he said 8pm EST. it's 8:21 here now.

Ahhh, no it's 10:30pm EST for tonight. He was asking DVMD if 8pm worked for the UKers. (Or DVMD told Doc that 8pm worked for them, can't remember which now.)

The problem with that is this is the first vote day. Almost everyone votes RNG. And if info eventually comes out, then we waffle.

I have to get some sleep, early practical in the morning. Ugh.

lynch nyanko

Just cause trying to see if SOV was FOS with his boast on day one about being un-killable seems like something she would do.

haha, I can't even be upset that you voted for me, because I can fully appreciate that logic.

I think it was weird that Trem came in and was like "just jumpin on this bandwagon, k bye" for sure, but (no offense) I've seen her do some pretty oblivious things in WW in the past so I can't say it'd surprise me if it was just a dumb thing she said.

I take responsibility for the iditarod kill. Sorry dude but you were too creative to live

Sorry fibbies. Never trust the government. 'specially when they're trying to infiltrate.

lynch swings

Except that in this game the FBI are trying to save the memes from the rogue programming.

😕 Your comment does not compute. Unless you are a rogue program trying to throw suspicioun onto a whole group. It would be poor game mechanic to make an entire group the bad guys.

I do think Trem operates that way sometimes, so for me it's between sheepdog and nyanko, very very weakly.

lynch sheepdog

Well, lynching someone just because they lynched the same person as someone else is stupider than RNG, especially when the first person said that sheeps has been posting weird.

***unlynch sheeps, lynch swings***

My group has not bothered with me at all yet haha.

And no, I don't feel like explaining right now. But I am pretty sure sheeps isn't a wolf because she(he? can't remember) helped me with my role via PM. Although if someone could double check via seer that'd be nice. lynch trem

it's not that you lynched the same person. It's that you said you were lynching someone because there were already votes for them.

If sheeps is lynched I will veto.

Why would you bring that up, if you could do that? If you know Sheeps is a villager, and you can veto, you should have stayed quiet about it and let Sheeps get lynched. It would save us a villager lynch.

Your comment looks shadier than WTF's comment. Really the eyebrow raise should be at your logic.

WS is also probly forgetting that if I veto, we would have to vote for someone else anyway right after. I said it out loud to save us time. No point going through an entire thing and then having to do it all over again, when I can sense a bandwagon coming and head it off at the pass.

I don't really have anything to contribute, Group Master Trem.

Neither do I.
Hence my random vote that apparently was the wrong choice.

Just a thought:
Lynching a group leader probably isn't very smart at this point. If all of the group roles work similarly, I don't think it would be a smart idea to dump the leader. A sneezy wolf could jump into mayor position and possibly screw things over. At least investigate me before lynching.

That was supposed to be skeezy wolf. Damn autocorrect.

If all the groups work in a similar manner then in other groups the members should also be able to send DocE a vote of no confidence in the leader and another election can be held. That's assuming quite a bit of course.

It's my bedtime.
My role is a one-time use ability and I am connected to one other player (I do not know who it is though).
I will leave it at that because I do not want to tell all on day one.

Good luck with deciding who to lynch.

Why is it shadier. Rarely do we get a wolf on the first lynch.

I thought vetos meant no one gets lynched that cycle? If you veto, we still have to lynch someone?

This makes me think you are the right choice. The fact that you will most likely be lynched should be enough to role reveal if you are a villager. How are you connected to someone if you don't know who they are?

That is true.
But each group has another perk. After clarifying it with DocE, it is really not a good idea to have a wolf in my position at least.

There is someone following me around and I don't know who it is yet.

***lynch nyanko***

I had a reason besides agreeing she would kill SOV. haha I'll post it when I remember. Should be in a few minutes after reading the posts again.

I'm aware that each group has an ability. I was just stating that if a group thought they had a wolf at the helm there is a way to take care of the situation.

Gotcha.
It is just easier to investigate the leaders now, than throw someone new in there, wait until they start acting suspicious and booting them out of office.

Aagh. I don't want to lynch Trem because I don't think her post was nearly reason enough. I don't want to lynch sheeps because of the whole veto thingie. I guess....Escalla? Hasn't been posting as much as in Dexter and Dyachei at least was also suspicious. Hate this first lynch...

unlynch sheeps

Why is it shadier. Rarely do we get a wolf on the first lynch.

I'm aware that we rarely get a wolf on the first lynch but if we have a known villager that we logically shouldn't vote for then are odds are just slightly better that we are getting a wolf. You actually said you'd rather have a known villager go down than try to get anyone else. That's what's sketchy.

I mean yes sheeps could not be a villager but WTF is sure enough at this point to veto so I'm willing to go with it for now.

We don't know that WTF is a villager, yet. So there can be no presumption that the person she is protecting is one.

No, but if we lynch swings and she turns out to be a wolf, WTF is really sticking his neck out now.

Because I thought once we lynched that player, WTF would veto the lynch and the player lives and we are up one more villager than we normally would have. Being first lynch and the fact that we rarely get a wolf first lynch, it made sense. What I did not know was that we would still have to lynch someone that same cycle even with WTF's veto. (That's what WTF just said).
